The following utube video link is for a recent HEO initiative being presented by HEO assistant Referee-in-Chief Sean Tobin. 

The Green Armband initiative is designed to reduce harassment and abuse of minor officials within HEO and to educate coaches, parents, players, and league officials about the challenges officials face with respect to harassment and abuse while officiating minor hockey games. 
The goal of this initiative is to raise awareness about the harassment and abuse officals within HEO face so we can all work together to eliminate it from our game.   

The green armbands are used to identify on ice officials who are under the age of 18.
Supplementary discipline for team officials targeting green armband wearing officials will be doubled.
